trickster mediation skill

okay, so today I have learnt this new mediation skill called trickster, it was hard. okay, I am not gonna try to explain how it works coz honestly I can't manipulate well yet.. but if I do practice and make it my expertise, that would be awsome! Here is the example of trickster:

My professor went home and heard her wife said: " I can't stand it anymore, you take care of her please!" and my professor wonder what's wrong, and his wife address that their daughter don't want to dress up her costume and resist for so long because one of the wing on her twickle bell costume is broken, so here is the conversation my professor with her daughter

professor: honey, what wrong?
daughter: I am not dressing up, I am not going to trick or treat
professor: Okay! don't go, dressing up is kind of a pain in halloween, you don't like dressing up during halloween anyways, right?, you can stay home and mom and I just gonna go by ourselves and we are just gonna be back for couple hours
daughter: (kinda in shocked that she would get answers like this) but you can't leave me at home
professor: I understand but mom and I wanna go trick or treat and you said you don't want to go, it's fine, we won't make you to go with us
daughter: after a couple mins, she dressed up with her costume and ready to leave the house
mom: How did you do that
professor: trickster

Professor explained to us trickster is kinda like honoring what they want and keep emphasizing what they say they want, until a moment that they couldn't stand and they will admit that it is not truely what they want, sometime conflict parties try to say something totally opposite on how they truely feel, they are being tricky to resist the mediator, however, trickster is playing a good role on using their resistance to push back to them.

Well.. I don't know how I could explain it clearly.. but anyways.. what a great mediation lesson :):):)
